Christmas List : Velvet Trousers

Ahh velvet. I could sing its praises all day, but I’ll spare you the boredom. I love velvet in the form of dresses, tops and sweaters and I’m ready to take the plunge - velvet pantaloons. The winner of my velvet trousers search is this pair from Madewell (Velvet City Block Trousers $138) -

I love the color, the pleats and the slouch at the top. There were a few runners up, but most of them were some type of stretchy legging or cotton cigarette jean with a velvet shell. I like my velvet comfy and slighty manly. Swoon.

Also, who wants to spend a boatload of money on velvet pants? I’m head-over-heels in love with velvet, and I’m not willing to spend a penny over $150 on a pair of ‘em. I guess that’s your holiday judgment call.
