Gettin’ Crafty
What’s a person to do while holed up in the house for a few months? You could imbibe your favorite spirits and wait it out, or you could gain some creativity during your inside time with a few easy craft projects.
We’re dying to try the coffee filter roses (aren’t they gorgeous!?) to fill empty vases, and I’ve personally finished the lightbulb terrarium with much success. There are even a few easy projects for the kids!
The coffee filter rose instructions are originally in Polish, so be sure to have your browser translate the page (if you’re using Google Chrome, a bar will appear across the top asking if you want it translated to English or any other language).
A few tips if you’re going to try the terrarium - I first attempted the project with the GE lightbulbs they recommend and broke every single one of them. The Sylvania bulbs of the same size and wattage work much better. Also, I cut my hand in the process - nothing toooo bad, just watch your digits. But they came out like this! I thought they were beautiful, and I gave them away as gifts.
