Sandal Stalking: To Heel Or Not To Heel?

Summer is here, which means it’s time for sandals.  But what if you’re like me and don’t see the point in a shoe that’s not 6 inches tall? Perhaps my taste in footwear is that of a streetwalker, but I can’t help my sartorial taste.  As Lady Gaga would say, I was born this way.

What do fashion hookers like me and dare I say, you too, do when it comes to flat sandals?  Platforms after all are not beach friendly.  And trying to walk down San Francisco’s hills is already dangerous in tennis shoes, nevertheless a stiletto.

I did some sandal stalking and ended up investing in a few pairs that I will be rockin’ hard for the rest of the summer.  I present to you my findings:

Sandal Stalking Tips:

1) Keep it simple:

Less is more with sandals.  Let them be the effortless cap to your cut-offs and graphic tee.

Studs are spicy and sexy:

Studs are a great embellishment for sandals, while not compromising the versatility of the shoe.  What outfit couldn’t benefit from a few more studs?!

Ankle straps are sexy:

Take the flop out of flip-flops.  Ankle straps keep you locked in to your sandal while also being feminine and flirty.

Be Colorful:

Sandals can be the statement piece of your outfit.  And if you’re already wearing a colorful outfit (*raises hand*) we say to you, “Keep on color-blockin’ sister!”

See? Sandals can be fun too! Whether your sandal is simple, studded or colorful, we hope you rock it just as you would your 6 inch python platforms.  Werk!

Sass and sandals,
